Bowen Place Crossing is an award-winning underpass enhancing the Lake Burley Griffin loop in the heart of Canberra's Parliamentary Zone. 
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Bowen Place Crossing is a prominent piece of infrastructure for the nation’s capital. The design brief considered the heritage aspects of the area and delivering a structure that would flow and enhance, rather than detract, from the natural surroundings.
This new pedestrian and cyclist underpass provides users a safer and more comfortable route to complete the popular Lake Burley Griffin basin loop in Canberra.
Combining style and functionality, the underpass includes two new bridges and a 300m path from Kings Avenue Bridge to the existing path network alongside Lake Burley Griffin.
The finished project showcases award-winning design quality and creativity; reflecting and complementing its environment and becoming an important component of a precinct that contains features such as: The National Gallery of Australia and Kings Avenue Bridge.
