PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Nusantara National Mosque is located in IKN, Indonesia’s new capital city, and represents one of the most significant civic projects in the country’s history. Valued at US$60.1M, the mosque’s circular form symbolises national unity and religious harmony. Its design features a 100-metre diameter twisted dome and a 99-metre high steel-frame minaret, set within an artificial reservoir designed to enhance both its exterior and interior character.

SCOPE OF WORK

TTW was engaged as Structural Engineer for the project. A key element of the structural design was the use of a fully post-tensioned flat slab system for the floors, a method rarely used in Indonesia.
